How we protect your eCensus data
Posted By eCensus Project Team#privacy
No Aadhaar, district-scoped access, audit logs and self-service correction and deletion — privacy is built in, not bolted on.
Trust is the foundation of a community register. Here is exactly how the eCensus protects the details you share.
We collect only what we need
Name, family, contact, address, education and occupation — the details a community register needs. We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN or bank details.
Only the right people see your record
Office bearers see members of their own district only, and only while they hold their post. The platform enforces this — it is not a matter of trust.
Everything is recorded
Every approval, rejection and edit by an office bearer is written to an audit log with who did it and when.
You stay in control
You can correct your details from your account page at any time, and request deletion of your data with one click. Your consent to our Terms and Privacy Policy is recorded with its version, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires.
Never sold, never shared
Your data is never sold, and never shared with businesses, political parties or advertisers. Read the full Privacy Policy.
