This page sets out the limits of what the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha Youth Wing (TNAVMSYW) is responsible for on its websites and apps — particularly in relation to the Jadhagam (Vysya Pelli) matrimony service.

It forms part of our Terms of Use. Please read it before relying on anything published here or acting on any introduction made through the service.

1. General information only

Everything on the sites is published for general information about the community, the wing and its activities. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and current, but we give no warranty of any kind — express or implied — that the content is accurate, complete, or up to date. Event dates, office-bearer details, statistics and news items may change without the page being updated immediately.

Nothing on the sites constitutes legal, financial, medical, astrological or professional advice. Consult an appropriate professional before acting on anything you read here.

2. Jadhagam (Vysya Pelli) — the important part

Vysya Pelli is a free, community-run service for introducing families to one another. That is all it is. We introduce; we do not arrange, recommend, endorse, negotiate or solemnise any marriage. We charge nothing and take no commission.

We do not verify profile details

Every detail in a jadhagam profile is supplied by the member posting it. Approval only confirms that the profile belongs to a registered community member. We do not check, authenticate or independently confirm:

• Horoscope details, birth particulars, gothram, dosham or any astrological claim.
• Age, education, qualifications, employment, income or property.
• Marital status, including whether a person is already married or divorced.
• Health, medical history or physical status.
• Family background, character or conduct.
• Identity, and the authenticity of any photograph.

What you must do

Verify independently before proceeding with any alliance. Meet the family. See original identity documents, educational certificates and proof of employment. Confirm the marital status. Make whatever enquiries you would ordinarily make. Do not rely on this service, on approval of a profile, or on any office bearer's introduction as any form of assurance.

Our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNAVMSYW, its office bearers, volunteers and the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha accept no liability whatsoever for:

• The accuracy or truthfulness of any profile shown through the service.
• The conduct, character or suitability of any person introduced through it.
• The outcome of any alliance, marriage, engagement or discussion arising from an introduction — including its breakdown.
• Any financial loss, emotional distress, dispute, fraud, misrepresentation or harm arising between the parties.
• Any demand for dowry made by any party. Demanding or giving dowry is an offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961; report it to the police.

The decision to proceed with a marriage rests entirely with the individuals and families concerned, at their own risk and on their own judgement.

3. Astrological content

Rasi, nakshatram, dosham, dasa balance, porutham and related particulars are recorded or computed from details supplied by families, and are matters of belief and tradition. TNAVMSYW makes no claim as to their correctness or predictive value. Porutham shown in the service is guidance only and is not a certification of any match.

4. Members' content and views

News items, event reports, gallery photographs and profile content are supplied by members and office bearers. Views expressed in them are those of their authors and do not necessarily represent the position of TNAVMSYW. We will remove content that breaches our Terms of Use once we become aware of it.

5. Statistics

Membership and activity figures shown on the sites are indicative. Where they are computed automatically they reflect records at that moment; where they are entered by editors they may be rounded or approximate.

6. External links

The sites link to external websites and services, including WhatsApp, app stores and social media platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. A link is not an endorsement.

7. Availability and technical matters

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" and is maintained by volunteers. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we are not liable for loss arising from downtime, data loss, or any technical failure.

8. Relationship with the Maha Sabha

TNAVMSYW is the youth wing of the Tamil Nadu Arya Vysya Maha Sabha. The platform is run by the youth wing. Nothing published here should be taken as an official statement of the Maha Sabha unless it says so expressly.

10. Governing law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to it.
